$500,000 BGA grant from the Federal Government
Announcement that the Victorian Independent Schools Block Grant Authority has identified a notional project for our school involving an Australian Government Capital Grant of $500,000 under the 2010 Capital Grant Program and 2009 State Needs-Based Capital Funding Program to construct a new primary classroom. The Schematic Design Report is currently being prepared by consultants for this project.

$250,000 Building the Education Revolution (Primary Schools for the 21st Century) Grant from the Federal Government
Announcement that the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Education, the Hon. Julia Gillard MP, recently approved a grant to our school of $250,000 to construct a new Early Learning Centre.

Announcement that the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Education, the Hon. Julia Gillard MP, recently approved a grant to our school of $50,000 to undertake refurbishment of our current building and playground.

New "Fridays only" preschool group
Due to ongoing strong demand for preschool places, Cockatoo Montessori School is pleased to announce that a new "Fridays only" preschool group will begin in 2007. Please phone the Principal or Business Manager on 5968 1640 to register interest.

$70,000 grant from the Federal Government
Announcement from the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Education, Science and Training, The Hon. Pat Farmer MP, has confirmed that an Australian Government Investing in Our Schools Programme (IOSP) grant of $70,000 has been approved to assist the Cockatoo Montessori School with capital works early in 2007.

Students meet the PM



Cockatoo Montessori School students Charlotte and Bradley were invited to attend a morning tea with the Prime Minister John Howard on Wednesday 26th July at the Upwey-Belgrave RSL sub-branch.
